The Tip

Did you ever wish there was a "Remove from Display" option like the "Add to Display" option? You know, the one you see in the Edit menu when you have an icon selected—the same thing you get when you hold the shift key down and double-click an icon.

I found myself wishing that this week when I was editing Displays hanging off a Calculated Decision icon. I did not want to have to reset the variable the Decision was based on and run the piece from the beginning.

Finally I realized that you can remove an icon from the Display almost as quickly and easily as you can add it. Just select the icon on the flow line and delete it. Now press Ctrl+Z on the keyboard to undo the deletion. The icon is still on the flow line, but no longer displayed!

From there, you can shift+double-click the next branch to edit its contents.

Did you know?

It's easy to reuse the up graphic in button states, because "Same as Up" is the default graphic in other states. But did you ever want to reuse a graphic that was not the up state? It can be a pain importing that graphic multiple times.

Did you know that once you've imported the graphic, you can select the graphic in the graphic window and copy it? Then just click a different state and paste it in.

TAW II files rehomed

It's a shame that the NTAUG site is not still around, but all the files are not lost. I've managed to get ahold of the TAW II files and am working on getting the TAW I files.

I'll be posting these files as soon as I get time.

Virtual Workout

In December, I joined a local health club, Rhodes Club Fitness. I've been so busy lately, I haven't had time to actually go, but it makes me feel better to pull up their website.
