The Tip
|
|
Have you ever been bugged by the fact that Authorware does not allow you to zoom in to help with positioning in the presentation window? You can use the Screen Magnifier that comes with Windows to "blow up" a portion of the screen while you're working with that area.
You'll find the Magnifier by clicking the Start menu button, then selecting "Accessories." Click on "Accessibility," then "Magnifier."
This is an idea I saw in Phil Cowcil's presentation at TAAC7.

You're not stuck with the default corners you get with the rounded rectangle tool. Drag the little white dot in the upper right corner of a rounded rectangle around to change the shape of the corners.

My oldest dog was finally diagnosed this week, after several months of being sick. He started out with a bump on his ear, which I thought was a hematoma.
The vet said it was not a hematoma, and it got larger and larger, despite our best efforts. Turns out he has auricular chondritis, a disease that is very rare in dogs. It destroys the cartilage in the ears.
In humans, this disease is often linked to more serious problems, such as degeneration of the cartilage of the nose and trachea. He was doing better for a while on large doses of steroids, but is worse again. We have an appointment in a week with a specialist. Hopefully I can learn more about his condition then.
